Rancho Mirando has just begun to break ground on a new wedding ceremony site. Designed by architect Mark Canada, the new site will incorporate the natural beauty of the ranch and its setting while providing Rancho Mirando brides yet another beautiful site for the exchanging of vows.
What was once a secret spot that Mark enjoyed using for skeet shooting is now being transformed into a 750-square foot limestone patio with an 180-degree view of the Wimberley Valley. In his award-winning signature architectural style, Canada compliments nature rather than disturbs it. So the site itself will not distract from the breathtaking view behind it.
Accented with limestone boulders mined directly from the site, it will feature an architectural arbor with lighting, a granite pathway leading from the parking lot, a small fire ring, and a lushly landscaped lawn. From the architecture of the site itself to the views behind it, the new quarry site will also provide for stunning wedding photography.
“Rancho Mirando just could not keep this Texas treasure to ourselves” boasts owner Donna Aldred. “We knew we had to utilize the best view on the ranch in some way. And this old rock quarry on the property is a very special place that is near and dear to our hearts.”
Unveiling in April 2015, Rancho Mirando brides that book mid and late-2015 dates will have yet another option. Whether it’s winding through the path of the romantic arbors adjacent to the hacienda, or standing on top of a hill with trees cascading into the sun melting into the horizon, Rancho Mirando has something for every natural beauty-loving bride.
