Kelley and Jonathan, just married this April at Rancho Mirando, are a precious couple close to our hearts. Although Kelley and Jonathan both work and live in the Houston area, they have ties to the Hill Country and wanted to share a taste of the Hill Country experience with family and friends. Both graduates of Texas State in San Marcos, Kelley and “JT” are young at heart and never take themselves too seriously, even while wedding planning!
After 16 months of hard work together, we loved getting to see their Texas Hill Country wedding at Rancho Mirando come to fruition. Kelley decided on a hazy sunset color palette for her florals with coral peonies, orange ranunculus, Free Spirit roses and touches of succulents to add hints of texture to her personals.
The perfectly prepared menu by Gourmet Gals was mouthwatering and unique: fresh field green, strawberry, toasted pecan and feta salad with roasted shallot vinaigrette, Bacon wrapped pork loin stuffed with apples and serranos, Balsamic Chicken Breast topped with feta, diced Roma tomatoes and spinach served with a garlic cream sauce, Sauteed Green Beans, Smoked Gouda Macaroni and Cheese and Parmesan Yeast Rolls. A peonie covered, funfetti flavored cake from Classic Cakes by Lori finished off the perfect meal.
Michael at Signature Eventx kept everyone laughing on the dance floor and the amazing Jenny Bright Photography was able to capture the pure JOY of Kelley, Jon and their guests. If we could describe their wedding in one word, it would be FUN!
We are going to miss this fantastic couple, and we wish them a lifetime of laughter and love!

Rancho Mirando recently celebrated the harvest season with their first annual olive harvest gala!
Ranch owner Donna Aldred tackled the adventure of olive farming with gusto, like she has most everything else at the ranch. After initially growing lavender she made the decision to plant dozens of olive trees a few years ago to add to the farming operation. Last month, she gathered brave friends and family

We always love it when our brides are featured in one of the popular national wedding blogs. The spring wedding of Michelle and Jordan, as captured by Amber Vickery (one of our a preferred vendors at Rancho Mirando because of her consistently beautiful work for Rancho Mirando brides) was recently featured on Snippet & Ink.
When asked why she chose Rancho Mirando for the site of her wedding ceremony, Michelle echoed the sentiment expressed by so many of our wedding couples and their families:

Sunlight & Synchronicity: Shannon + Ryan
The ladies who bring each of Rancho Mirando’s weddings to life love all of their brides. Getting to know each couple and sharing such an important milestone in their lives is the fuel for what this dynamic family team does tirelessly every week. Even so, every once in awhile a collaboration comes together with a spark of kismet that makes all involved feel divinely blessed.
When our April 2016 bride Shannon became engaged she immediately drug her fiancé, Ryan to tour Rancho Mirando as a possible venue for their wedding after she fell in love with it through The Knot. Upon arriving, Ryan realized that he’d been to the ranch before!
