Do you have open houses or private tours?
We are a proud Mom and Pop or, rather, a “Mom and Daughter” facility and wish to keep it that way! We take the time to give personalized tours to each of our interested brides and their families so that we may answer any specific questions they may have during their visit. Each tour takes about 1 hour. Please contact us to set up a tour.
What is Rancho Mirando’s capacity?
Although our facility can accommodate up to 200 guests comfortably, we ask that you speak with us directly before booking a wedding for over 175 guests. The hacienda can accommodate up to 14 overnight guests. Sorry, no camping on the premises is allowed. There may be a wild creature in your tent in the morning!!
Does Rancho Mirando require that we use a vendor from their preferred vendors list?
No. While Rancho Mirando does have a preferred vendors list prepared for your convenience, we do not require that you use any specific caterer or other vendor. However, we do require that the caterer(s) of your choice have General Liability insurance, Health Department permits, and an adequate plan for staffing, setup, and cleanup of event prior to approval. This is a relatively painless process, so don’t fret!
If I make a reservation, do you require a deposit?
Yes, a non-refundable deposit of 25% of the total Use Fee is required to reserve your wedding or rental booking. A second quarter (25%) of the Use Fee is due no later than 180 days prior to the event. A third quarter (25%) is due no later than 90 days prior to the event. The balance (25%) is due no later than 30 days prior to the event.
Is there a cleaning and security deposit?
Yes, a refundable $1,500.00 Cleaning and Security Deposit is required no later than 30 days prior to the event. This deposit will be refunded within 7 days after the event so long as the condition of the rentals, hacienda and property at Rancho Mirando are returned in the condition in which they were rented.
Do you have special services for people who have trouble walking the property?
Yes. We provide 1 golf cart and 1 driver for all events in the case that a guest requires help from wedding site to reception site.
What is your alcohol policy?
The user (you!), caterer or event planner may purchase alcohol and the caterer or event planner may serve alcohol if the caterer or party planner carries liquor liability insurance coverage, TABC certification, and a copy of their policy is on file with Rancho Mirando. Sorry, no cash bars allowed on the premises. We apologize for the inconvenience. Your safety and the safety of your guests is our primary concern!
Are pets welcome at Rancho Mirando?
Yes! All non-aggressive pets are welcome at the ranch. Please keep in mind we have free roaming turkeys, peacocks, quail and other animals on the property. If you are concerned that your pet may attack any of our animals, please watch them closely and keep them on a leash. Thank you!
Do you have Internet access?
Yes. High-speed wireless Internet access is available inside the hacienda.
Do you have satellite access at the ranch?
Yes. We have satellite access on most of our TVs as well as DVD players with DVDs, board games, books, puzzles, pool toys and more to keep you and your guests entertained!
Is a wedding coordinator required at Rancho Mirando?
Although a wedding coordinator is not required, we strongly suggest hiring a day of coordinator for wedding parties over 100 guests. Please keep in mind that while the owners of the venue enjoy working with their brides, we are not wedding planners and do not provide such services at this time. There is simply not enough time in the day for us to help plan each and every event.
What kind of parking is available for my event?
Parking is available for all events, but Valet is required for parties over 100 guests. We apologize but have learned that this is the best method for large group parking on our multi-level property.
Are Rancho Mirando staff members available during an event?
Yes. We will have at least 1 staff member present at each event including your Rehearsal Dinner, Wedding Ceremony and Reception. We also have a 24/7 on call ranch hand in the event that you need immediate assistance.
Who sets up the rental equipment?
Our staff will set up all Rancho Mirando tables and chairs the day before or the morning of your event. Setting up additional rental equipment from outside companies, as well as decorating and creating place settings on included tables is the responsibility of your hired help, caterers or planner’s staff. Or, we will be happy to perform these tasks for an additional fee.
Who is responsible for cleaning and breakdown of the rental equipment?
Our staff will break down all tables and chairs after your event is over. However, we are not responsible for clearing tables, cleaning dishware or linens. You may hire your caterer or a third party to clean our rentals and return them in the
condition and containers in which they were provided within 48 hours after the end of your rental period. Our staff will be happy to clean and break down all rentals for an additional fee.
Can my vendor come prior to our rental time in order to set up our event?
Sure! No problem. Please have your vendor email or call Leslie to setup an early entry!
Are sparklers allowed?
Sparkler use is allowed on the property as long as you are given permission in advance by Leslie and follow instructions for proper usage. Sorry, no sparkler use is permitted during county burn bans. Birdseed, bubbles and all earth and animal friendly decomposable materials are also allowed.
Is security required?
No. Security is not required for events at Rancho Mirando. However, our staff and the TABC servers have the right to ask any guest that is severely intoxicated or unruly to leave the premises with the help of a sober guest or hired driver.
Can we rent the ranch out just for one night?
Our mission at Rancho Mirando is different from most wedding venues. Although we could make more profit throwing several events each weekend, our goal is to focus on each couple for an entire weekend. We require that you rent the ranch out for at least 2 evenings.
